CS:GO prodigy Robin “ropz” Kool has been added to FaZe’s CSGO roster.
In the last months of his contract with MOUZ, the Estonian prodigy leaves the European club and enters a new chapter in his career.
Ropz is anticipated to replace Olof ‘olofmeister’ Kajbjer in FaZe’s starting lineup. Ropz was also connected to G2 before they secured an agreement with NAVI for teenage sensation Ilya’m0NESY’ Osipov.
Since joining MOUZ in 2017, ropz has become one of the top CS:GO gamers in the world.
It’s been three years since he last played for the squad, and he returned in June after publicly considering retiring earlier this year.
CS:GO’s prominent pug service, the FACEIT Pro League, recruited Ropz in 2017 and he’s since turned into one of the game’s best players. The three most recent HLTV top 20 player rankings have all included him, and he’s been in the top ten in both 2019 (10th) and 2020 (11th) (7th).
With MOUZ, he has won several international competitions, including ESL One New York 2018 and the ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals. Many have questioned whether or not ropz should quit MOUZ and go for success elsewhere because of the team’s lack of success in the previous two years.
When ropz first joined MOUZ, he was joined by Finn ‘karrigan’ Andersen, who was his in-game captain at the time of his greatest MOUZ success. FaZe crashed out of many events before the final stages in 2021, including the PGL Major Stockholm, under the leadership of the Danish commander.
On Twitter, Karrigan expressed his joy at being able to play with ropz again. “I feel he will fit in wonderfully with the boys,” he stated in his announcement. “I can’t wait for the new season,” he said.
